The Thinking of God

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad reflects on his brother receiving a ‘Poison Book’ from Master Fard Muhammad and a picture of himself, “workin’ square roots.”
April 4, 1974

Guest: Master Fard Muhammad has a Book in his hand. There is a picture out there with a Book in his hand.

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad: That was teaching to teach me to keep your head in the book for learning. This was for me. Now, he give my brother, Kallat — at that time who was the Captain of Detroit, Chicago, and Milwaukee — He give him a picture where he was workin’ square roots and he give that to Kallat. Kallat asked me, he said, — and he give him the Poison Book — he said, “he give you the Holy Qur’an and, and he give me the Poison Book and what do you think of that?” I think I told him the truth is in both of the Books. And that’s how far I went with it. Cause I wasn’t gonna be no judge on why he did this or why he didn’t do that. And of course he was here at that time. So, to get in the thinkings of God…

Guest: Yes, Sir! Wow.

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad: …You’ve got something to talk about!

Room:
Yes, Sir, Dear Holy Apostle. And it’s so enjoyable talkin’ about it.

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad: And I’ve got some of the answer, too.

Guests: Yes, Sir.

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad:
And I’ve got the question for you.

Guests: Yes, Sir.

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad: Look, brother, I have told you for the first part of my life I was a farmer in Georgia.

Guests: Yes, Sir.

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad:
 Right?

Guest:
Yes, Sir.

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad:
Nobody there was looking at me plowing a mule thought that I would ever be a Scientist teaching the world.

Guests: Yes, Sir.

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad: See, it is time that brings on things.

  1. So, it is through what we chose, or led (written on the hearts of men, and mankind) as he (God) prepares us? I am thinking a lot of thought, focus and attention could be given doing the plowing season. That being the case, we all are farmers, sort of speak when we are of his chosen and seek his face and purpose?
